Preparing and Presenting NPO
Annual Financial Statements
Many non-profits (NPOs) are fast approaching their financial year end and will soon be required to prepare their annual financial statements (AFS) and present them to their governing body (board or committee) and once approved, to their key stakeholders including existing and prospective funders, SARS, the NPO Directorate, their constituents and even the general public.
For any organisation, AFS tell the important story of the year’s financial affairs and its year-end financial health. The organisation must be satisfied that the AFS present a fair and accurate picture understandable to the stakeholders. Our experience is that the AFS of NPOs don’t always show the intended financial story.
We therefore invites NPOs to “save the date” for a one day interactive workshop to be held in February 2018 on:
20th Cape Town,
We will cover, amongst other topics:
This valuable workshop will be of direct benefit to treasurers, finance officers and auditors of non-profits. It will also benefit chief executives of non-profits who wish to ensure that their organisation’s AFS will stand with the best. We would also encourage attendance of funding agency staff members with responsibility for reviewing the AFS of partner organisations.
Please contact Cyrilene at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in attending this workshop.
